How to Measure

Three widths. One height. Order the smallest — the detail that makes custom shades fit.

Inside mount

Measure width at the top, middle, and bottom of the opening. Windows are rarely perfectly square — we compare all three and order the smallest width so the shade clears the tightest point.

Measure height at the tallest usable point (usually left or right jamb). Enter whole inches plus eighths in the configurator.

Outside mount

Measure the opening, then add overlap beyond the frame so light does not leak at the edges. Follow the on-screen guidance for recommended overlap when you choose outside mount.

  • Width three times — top, middle, bottom — in eighths.
  • Height once at the tallest clear dimension.
  • Confirm smallest width before add-to-cart. This is required.
