Sheer vs translucent: keeping the morning glow
When you want daylight to fill the room — and how openness and fabric hand change the mood.
Not every window needs glare control. Breakfast nooks, studios, and north-facing rooms often want light to pour in — with just enough privacy for the street.
Sheer solar (≈5%)
Sheer openness maximizes skyline and soft outdoor blur. Families like Harbour, Simple Whites, and Whisper keep mornings luminous while cutting the harshest specular bounce.
Translucent Aegean
Translucent fabrics diffuse more aggressively. The view softens; the room fills with even, gallery-like light. Ideal when architecture — not the vista — is the hero.
Quick test: If you sit near the glass and still squint at noon, step toward semi-sheer or solar. If the room feels cave-like with blinds open, sheer or translucent will restore the glow.
Compare both in the shop, then refine color temperature — warm bone versus cool white — before you lock the order.
